Remittances from Egyptians Abroad Continue Falling

Remittances of Egyptian workers abroad narrowed by 17.1% to $14.5 billion during the first nine months of the elapsed fiscal year (FY) 2023/24 from $17.5 billion in the comparable period a FY earlier, according to a report by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). 

The World Bank expects remittance flows to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to see a moderate increase of 4.3% in 2024 to $58 billion.
