Cabinet ratifies assessment of gas units operation at Burullus Power Plant

Arab Finance: The Egyptian cabinet has approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) and Siemens Energy Global to assess the operation of the gas units at Burullus Power Plant, as per a statement.

Eight gas units, with a capacity of 400 megawatts each, will be assessed.

The cabinet’s approval came within the framework of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy’s efforts to cope with the scientific development in the field of hydrogen and reduce dependence on fossil fuel.
