Arab Finance: The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has signed the second batch of the fifth generation (5G) service licenses with the four telecom operators in the country, as per an official statement.

Accordingly, Telecom Egypt, Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, and e& Egypt have been granted $675 million worth of 5G service licenses and the renewal of previous-generation licenses for the next 15 years.

Earlier this year, Telecom Egypt secured a 5G mobile communication networks’ services license from the NTRA.

NTRA is reportedly working on increasing telecommunications service prices over the coming period.
