Orascom Development names Hazem Helal as CEO of O West, Makadi Heights, and Byoum

Arab Finance: Orascom Development has appointed Hazem Helal as the CEO of O West, Makadi Heights, and Byoum, three of its integrated communities in Egypt, as per an emailed press release.
Helal will oversee performance and long-term value creation for these projects while supporting the company’s ambition to develop prime international destinations.
In his new role, Helal will be a member of Orascom Development’s Executive Committee, reporting directly to Group CEO Omar El Hamamsy.
Helal brings over 20 years of experience across diverse industries.
Most recently, he served as Vice Chairman of El Ahly Sports Facilities Company, leading the development of a new stadium and sports city.
As Commercial Director at Mountain View, he played a key role in driving sales growth from EGP 2 billion to over EGP 30 billion in five years.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Procter & Gamble, where he advanced to Commercial Director, managing operations across several Middle Eastern markets.
Helal is an active member of the Real Estate Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and serves as a board member for several startups.
He holds degrees from Harvard Business School and the Engineering School of The American University in Cairo.
