Arab Finance: Gold prices in Egypt saw a hike on Monday, with the 24-karat jumping by 11.5% to EGP 4,628.5 per gram for buying and EGP 4,657.25 for selling, according to iSagha’s data.
The 22-karat gold price increased by 10.5% to EGP 4,242.75 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,269 for selling.
Likewise, the 21-karat grew by 10% to EGP 4,050 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,075 for selling.
The price of 18-karat gold increased by 8.5% to EGP 3,471.5 per gram for buying and EGP 3,492.75 for selling.
Moreover, the gold pound soared by 80% to EGP 32,400 for buying and EGP 32,600 for selling.
The gold ounce’s price went up by 1.75%, recording $2,898 for purchasing and $2,898.27 for selling.
Globally, gold prices hiked to a record high after US President Donald Trump announced plans to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
