Arab Finance: Misr Clearing Company for Central Depository and Registry (MCDR) has completed a comprehensive IT infrastructure upgrade designed by Cisco, in collaboration with Raya, and GTS, as per an emailed press release.

The project aims to enhance operational efficiency and security in the financial services sector.

The upgrade aligns with international standards and introduces major transformations in network design and security.

The infrastructure now features a segmented and secured network structure, replacing the traditional flat network.

The enhancements include a Zero-Trust access control platform, intrusion detection systems, and advanced cybersecurity measures.

The company also integrated software-defined networking and SD-WAN technologies to improve data traffic management and overall network efficiency.

Additionally, a redesigned disaster recovery system now ensures business continuity by separating the headquarters from the recovery site.
