Egypt’s annual core inflation records 24.4% in December: CBE

Arab Finance: The annual core inflation rate of Egypt recorded 24.4% in December 2022, compared to 21.5% in November 2022, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed in a press release on January 10th . 

The monthly core consumer price index (CPI) inflation recorded 2.6% last December, after recording 0.2% in the same month of 2021, and 2.7% in November 2022, the CBE stated. 

It is worth noting that Egypt’s annual core inflation rate rose to 21.5% in November 2022.
