Egyptian Remittances from Abroad Hike

Egyptian remittances from abroad surged in July of this year to $3 billion, up from $1.6 billion in 2023, an 86.8% increase year on year (YoY), according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

In June 2024, remittances from Egyptians working abroad surged 65.9% YoY to around $2.6 billion.
