Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a positive performance on Sunday, with the EGX30 index ending the trading session higher by 0.31% at 31,010.25 points.
Likewise, the Sharia-compliant index, EGX33 Shariah index, rose by 0.72% to 3,256.13 points.
The EGX70 index and the EGX100 index ended the session higher by 1.13% at 8,712.22 points and by 0.86% at 11,977.66 points, respectively.
A total of 1.370 billion shares were traded over 89,109 transactions at a value of EGP 3.385 billion, while the market capitalization reached EGP 2.275 trillion.
Individuals equaled 80.78% of the total trading, while the institutions made up the remaining 19.21%.
Egyptian investors controlled 93.7% of trading transactions, while foreign and Arab traders accounted for 5.06% and 1.24%, respectively.
The Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 72 million. Arab and foreign traders were sellers with EGP 58.333 million and EGP 13.667 million, respectively.
