Egypt's future debt service payments are as follows: $18.52 billion in the second half (H2) 2024, $12.83 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025, and $8.69 billion in H2 2025, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
For 2026, payments are expected to be $12.93 billion in H1 and $14.07 billion in H2.
Egypt’s external debt service surged to $23.8 billion in the first nine months of the fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024, compared to $17.8 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
