DisrupTech weighs $70M fund for startups in 2026

Arab Finance: DisrupTech, an Egyptian venture capital firm, is considering launching a $70 million fund to support startups by 2026, Founder and Managing Partner Mohamed Okasha told Asharq Business.

Okasha disclosed that the firm plans to invest $16 million in fintech companies over the next 18 months.

Currently, seven to eight potential startups are being evaluated for investment, he said.

Disruptech previously established a $36 million fund in 2021, which has backed several companies in the fintech sector.

The new fund is expected to be launched after the closure of the current one, although the specific areas of investment are still undecided.
